June 2022: Congratulations to EVAN for achieving First Class Honours for RCM Level 6 Saxophone and to RAY for achieving Honours for RCM Level 8 Saxophone.

Hamilton Music Festival 2022: It was wonderful to hear EVAN (Telemann Sonata, Allegro Appassionata), STEVEN (Bach Sonata, Ferling Étude in B Flat Minor), and RAY (Strimer Sérénade and Introduction, Dance, and Furioso by Herbert Couf) at this year’s Festival. Congratulations to RAY, the first winner of the Willem Moolenbeek Classical Saxophone Award. Special thanks to the artistic team: Diane, Peter, Jesse and Ruta, and to supportive moms Minna and Jessie.

March 2022: A big shout-out to JEREMY, who, having found his flow, must agree with Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi (1934 – 2021) that, “Most enjoyable activities are not natural; they demand an effort that initially one is reluctant to make. But once the interaction starts to provide feedback to the person’s skills, it usually begins to be intrinsically rewarding.” Congratulations on achieving First Class Honours with Distinction on your Level 8 Royal Conservatory of Music Examination.

November 2021: Congratulations to DAVID who pushed through injury, pandemic restrictions and part-time job responsibilities to achieve First Class Honours on his Level 8 Royal Conservatory of Music Examination. BRAVO!

June 2021: For the French philosopher Voltaire, (1694 – 1778) “The biggest reward for a thing well done is to have done it.” With this in mind, well done and félicitations to KAI (Honours) and JOSHUA (First Class Honours) and EVAN (First Class Honours) who completed their Level 4 Royal Conservatory of Music Examinations last Spring.

January 2021: Congratulations to STEVEN and RAY who both achieved the standing of First Class Honours on their RCM Level 6 Saxophone exams.

January 2020: The Royal Conservatory of Music Practical Exam Results have been posted. Congratulations to ANDREW who achieved Honours for Level 6 Saxophone and to JEREMY who achieved First Class Honours for Level 6 Saxophone.

December 2019: DARREN and RUTA recorded movements one and two of the famous Sonata for E flat Alto Saxophone and Piano by Paul Creston. Click here to watch them play with power and feeling!

Summer 2018: DARREN and SARAH recorded movement one (Prélude à deux) and movement four (Intermission) from Fernande Decruck’s Saxophonesques. This performance celebrates these rare and almost forgotten duets and appears to be the only recording on the Internet. Click here to watch.
